Near Field Communication (NFC)

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a set of technology-based wireless connectivity technology'''' Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), which uses magnetic field induction to enable communication between electronic devices in close proximity.
NFC is a way for devices to communicate when in close proximity. In fact, two of these tools not only to share data, but also power. NFC can move the power to external devices wirelessly. If the "A" in a state of the battery is empty, can actually be powered by the "B" on her.NFC improve connections with the electro-magnetic induction. Basically, two antennas divide the magnetic fields produced by power tools. Changes continuously or flow in a magnetic field can cause electric currents generated in the target device. In fact, the "near field" is a marking for specific areas in the field of electromagnetic radiation coming from the antennas.NFC provides the best medium for the identification protocols that validate secure the transfer of data. It allows users to access digital content and connect with other electronic devices simply by touching or carrying the device in close proximity. NFC operates in the unlicensed frequency band with a standard 13.56MHz with a distance of about 20 cm. Offering data transfer rates of 106kbit / s, 212kbit / s and 424kbit / s. For two devices that communicate using NFC, one device must have a NFC reader, which is basically an integrated circuit that contains data, connected to the antenna, can be read and written by readers. There are two modes of operation covered by the protocol "NFC", ie active and passive.
• In active mode, both radio devices generate their own parts to transmit data.
• In passive mode, only one device generates radio field, while the other uses load modulation to transfer other data.Passive mode of operation is very important for battery-powered devices such as mobile phones and PDAs that need to prioritize the use of energy. Protocol "NFC" allows the device to be used in a power saving mode, so the energy can be saved for other operations. Whereas if both devices have had the same power, each can take part to generate magnetic areas, as the recipient of a device and the result is the exchange of data between them. This is known as "Active Communication Mode".
NFC can provide many benefits to users such as:
  • Intuitive Interaction "NFC" need not trouble just from a simple touch.
  • Versatile: NFC suitable for industry, and the environment at large.
  • Standards-based: The base layer of NFC technology follow a universal standard has been adopted by ISO, ECMA, and ETSI.
  • The technology enables: NFC facilitates fast and simple setup of wireless technologies, such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  • Inherently secure: Transmission NFC works with distance.
  • Interoperable: NFC technology works with existing contactless cards.
  • Security: The NFC has had the ability to support the safe application.
